Today it was my turn to go to see the nativity play at Daniel’s school. Today I was working at home, so was able to clock out for an hour or so to pop round to the school to see the action. I had been forewarned by Jane to sit as for to the right of the stage as I could, as that’s where Daniel and his crowd were standing. I got there in plenty of time, and got a seat right at the front, and on the right. Perfect. Eventually Daniel and all the other kids filed it, and the wait was over!

Of course, I watched Daniel, although I did enjoy the efforts of all the other kids. They’d all worked so hard, and it the effort really paid off. But for Daniel it all seemed a bit flat. To be honest, he looked bored, tired, and even…
