Primrose Valley

Standard

After a long day we have arrived at the holiday park.
We started the day with a breakfast at Frankie & Bennys. Its fabulous value for money at just a fiver a plate with coffee. Hubby had a big breakfast, M had pancake with bacon and syrup while D and I both had pancakes with bacon and eggs. It was delicious and set us up for a couple of hours in the car.
We were going to stop en route to Filey but the weather was lovely and we travelled cross-country, admiring the beauty of the North Yorkshire National Park
We arrived at the Haven holiday park at just gone 1pm which was the earliest for collecting our keys even though we weren’t allowed into the caravan until 3pm.
We decided to park near the caravan only for the cleaner to say it was ready to go in! Bingo. We were therefore all unpacked almost 2 hours earlier than anticipated. In these circumstances there is only one thing to do – put on your costumes and head to the pool. And what a brilliant pool it is. Water slides, jets up, water shooting at all angles and or course the assault course balance pads – M got across with help, while D only managed 3 but is determined to manage the whole distance by the time the week is over.
The amusement arcade is far too tempting for the boys so they are given a limit but D had a major tantrum when told we were heading back to the caravan.
We have since had an afternoon of relaxing. It’s now time to get ready for the show. Both boys love them but do so in different ways. D will be up on the dance floor sitting with the other children, while M will land on my lap with ear plugs firmly in so the noise is dimmed.
So far a good holiday.
